Bernie Rico Jr. Jeckyll 627 AAA Quilted maple

€2,850.00 €2,450.00

A rare beast especially here in the EU, and a beast it is! This exquisite guitar was built around 2010 by American luthier Bernie Rico jr. who is the son of BC Rich founder Rico sr. It’s in pristine condition and loaded with options.

For starters this Jeckyll 627 sports a beautiful bound AAA grade quilted maple top with matching headstock, and the ebony fretboard is adorned with an abalone swirl inlay. The optional neck-thru construction ensures maximum sustain and access to the higher frets. The neck itself is made of maple while the wings of the body are made of mahogany. A traditional choice of wood that’s very interesting to see in a superstrat type of guitar, and gives it a unique character. Though these guitars are predominantly played in metal related genres I could imagine it would make a great axe for an adventurous fusion player too. The pickups are Seymour Duncan’s 59′ and JB and are an excellent and versatile match for this guitar, especially with the added flexibility of a push-pul function on the tone knob. Bernie has also added a tremolo-no to fix the genuine Floyd Rose vibrato unit.

Due to health issues Bernie Rico jr. is no longer building these, and there are not to many around here in the EU, so this is a great chance to own a rare and fine instrument made by this great American luthier. The original case with the BRJ embroidered  logo is included along with some case candy.
